Job Type: ContractLocation: Diocesan School for GirlsJob Category: Sport and RecreationThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student wellbeing and performance across a wide range of sporting codes. Ideally you will be starting in early August 2025. Job DescriptionThe key focus of this role is to: Design and lead the school's Strength & Conditioning (S&C) programmes. Manage student athlete load, pre-hab, and re-hab programming. Facilitate S&C sessions in collaboration with coaches and Sports Managers. Oversee gym operations, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols. Provide support and personalised programmes for students.

Collaborate with the Gym Supervisor to run exercise classes and manage space usage. Support the “Raising a Young Athlete” and LEAP programmes alongside the Director of Sport. Coordinate key events including Athletics, Cross Country, Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquathon, and Distance Squad. Support parent engagement and deliver clear communication on code logistics. Manage logistics for uniforms, scheduling, travel, and accommodation. Foster strong links with community clubs and sporting organisations. Represent the school at relevant College Sport and RSO meetings. Lead communication with students, parents, and committees to support sporting success. Recruit, mentor, and retain quality coaches across sporting codes.

Deliver coach education opportunities and facilitate best-practice frameworks. Oversee budget management and equipment purchasing across allocated codes. Maintain accurate reporting and ensure alignment with school branding and policies. Desired Skills And ExperienceWe are ideally after an applicant with: A tertiary qualification in health, fitness, or sport-related discipline. Demonstrated experience in S&C coaching and gym operations. A sound understanding of youth wellbeing, sports psychology, and nutrition. Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills. The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across multiple stakeholders. Experience coordinating sports events and managing sport administration functions.

You’ll Have Familiarity with a wide variety of sports codes. Competence in using Microsoft Office and web-based fixture platforms.
