This role provides expert consulting in change management, talent management, workforce planning, organizational design, and talent analytics that promote alignment, agility, and long-term sustainability of talent across the system.Serving as a trusted partner and strategic advisor, the Director collaborates with Business HR, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and clinical and non-clinical leadership to assess workforce needs, identify development and/or structural gaps, and design data-informed solutions that advance organizational performance and agility. Acting as an integral member of the leadership team, the Director works independently and with cross-functional partners to integrate system-wide talent management, development, and attraction initiatives into operational strategies.The Director identifies emerging workforce needs, develops insights through talent analytics, and recommends strategies to improve workforce productivity, attraction, retention, and development. Through collaboration with HR partners and business leaders, the role ensures alignment of system talent objectives with operational execution and fosters a cohesive, high-performing organization prepared to meet current and future workforce and skill demands by applying the principles and practices of organizational development and human resource management.Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions Builds high trust partnerships with local HR and Facility leadership team OL professionals to determine current and future needs. Identify potential gaps, aligns cultural tools and provides guidance in the development of strategies to address deficits. Identifies leader training and development opportunities and supports curriculum design, review, programmatic evaluation and oversees implementation. Advances organizational culture development, innovation, change management, structure, and team performance through the design and deployment of organizational development services and programs, based on needs assessment, proven theory, and best practice. Assesses, identifies, and provides department interventions to resolve issues, enhance performance, and create desired organizational culture. Coaches and consults with leaders to implement identified interventions Provides expertise and coaching in using and implementing leadership assessments and multi-source feedback instruments. Upon review of results, consults with leaders, making recommendation for intervention, change, and performance improvement. Actively participates in OD professional networks to learn, support personal development, and share best practices.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.Required Minimum EducationMasters in Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior Studies, Adult Education or a related fieldRequired Minimum License(s) And Certification(s)All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.Additional License(s) And Certification(s)Certification in assessment tool administration, change management, and/or executive leadership coaching preferredRequired Minimum ExperienceMinimum 7 years Minimum 7-10 years of experience in internal consulting working with executives and manager coaching, management consulting, organizational development, change management or a related field requiredMinimum 3 years in a Senior Manager or above role requiredExperience in a complex multi-site organization in an intermediate to large size organization (5,000 to 10,000 FTEs) requiredHealthcare experience preferredRequired Minimum SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of OD theories, philosophies and methods, adult learning styles and interactive teaching methods, assessment administration, coaching and consulting with individuals and teams, change management theory, organizational and needs analysis, principles of customer service, and employee engagement theories.Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
