Job Description

The role holder is responsible for managing all aspects of Management Reporting, which includes periodic performance reporting for TECOM, its departments, and business units, facilitating operational and financial KPI reporting, preparing management reporting packs, managing data visualization tool (Power BI), addressing Adhoc report requests, and managing the underlying historical and current financial data.Works very closely with the Head of Corporate Finance and collaborates with portfolio heads/associates to facilitate robust reporting and informed strategic decision-making, thus creating a positive impact and influence on TECOM’s commercial, operational, and financial performance.The role holder is also responsible for working as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team on organization performance to ensure the key financial metrics and expected returns are achieved. Conduct critical /strategic business case analysis and adhoc analysis for TECOM senior management team.Strategic ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head of Corporate Finance in special projects and introduce new reports, metrics, and KPIs for the business to monitor asset performance, measure growth, profitability, expense control, and productivity.Partner with the business to support strategy and decision-making. Work cross- functionally to ensure accurate reporting on all financial metrics and key performance indicators; manage the development of critical insights and understanding of variances.Examine operational performance, share new perspectives on how current choices may affect future performance of TECOM and its assets, and influence leadership thinking where appropriate to drive informed and suitable decision-making.Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across the company to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across divisionsCore ResponsibilitiesManagement ReportingPrepare multidimensional reports by entities, departments, business segments, and business parksWork with different departments/business units to ensure accurate reporting on all financial and operational metrics and key performance indicators; develop reports of critical insights and understanding of variances.Generate and deliver reports and analyses including, but not limited to, monthly results reporting package, which includes financial and operational actual results vs. budget, trends, growth, variance analysis, forecast vs. budgets, etc.Prepare quarterly business performance reports, which encompass projects, cash flow, score card updates, and any unresolved critical audit findings in addition to the financial and operational actual results.Develop and maintain the processes and tools to deliver accurate and timely management reports and financial information to support senior management in decision-making.Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, and analyze causes of unexpected variance where required.Prepare the commentaries keeping in view the Global and Local market trends within the reports to support the financial/technical understanding of the reports and results.Provide the financial data for public announcements at DFM for financial results of the GroupEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements for reporting applicable to the public listed companyPrepare Board Presentations for Quarterly / Adhoc Board meetingsReview and/or Prepare Monthly Management pack with detailed comments on monthly performance for presentation to CEO and senior managementProactively analyze and assess business risks and opportunities to drive operational and financial performance and deliver against targetsWhere relevant, develop/support in setting Balanced scorecards for Company/ teams / business units Reporting through Data Visualization Tools Serve as the point of contact for any data visualization tool (Power BI) based on operational and financial reporting to facilitate decision-making.Coordinate with the IT team for continuous enhancements/updates in data visualization tool (Power BI) as required.Prioritize and support the delivery of the Group digital reporting roadmap, working with key stakeholders to understand requirements, delivering best in class analysis, data and tools to the management and the wider businessFinancial Planning, Budgeting, and ForecastingWork closely with budgeting and planning team for compilation, consolidation, and presentation of business plan in EPBCS, Excel, and PowerPoint.Develop, update, and monitor the group's corporate and shared services cost allocation mechanism.Data ManagementWork hand in hand with the Accounting and Statutory Reporting team to ensure all the company's historical and current financial data is stored and maintained correctly within the systems.Play a pivotal role in system design (Oracle, HFM, Power BI, EPBCS, etc.) to address future planning and reporting requirements.Critical Requests and Special ProjectsProvide financial input and recommendations on Management Committee/ Board memos for approvals.Participate in special projects and requests leading to significant savings in company costs and overheads.Continuous ImprovementStay abreast of current and new financial reporting guidelines, technologies, tools and techniques that can be used within DHAM to improve planning, monitoring, reporting and control.People ManagementProvide leadership within the function, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance in the pursuit of the Department’s objectives.Build and promote an organizational culture that encourages innovation and rewards performance that leads to enhanced staff motivation and retention.Minimum Qualification:Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is required.Masters’ degree in Finance/Accounting, CFA or MBA Finance preferred.Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of Finance / Accounting experience, preferably in a large real estate conglomerate.At least two years in the Middle East within FP&A is preferred.Previous experience using Power BI, HFM/Hyperion is requiredPrevious experience using Excel for Apps is preferred.Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge across all financial aspects – budgeting, forecasting, planning, accounting, reporting, etc.Excellent analytical skills that allow interpretation of budgetary, financial, and related management information.Excellent writing skills sufficient to draft professional reports and correspondence that is clear and concise.Excellent interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with people at all organizational levels.Solid track record of producing highly accurate and timely analysis.Sound knowledge of HFM/Hyperion, Power BI, Excel for Apps.Advanced critical thinking skills.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Arabic would be an added advantage.
