Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential.Title And SummaryDirector, Account ManagementOverviewThe Prepaid account management team is made up of account managers and solution sales experts who are focused on educating, promoting and leading the sell in of the Mastercard Prepaid product suite and Mastercard assets across different prepaid verticals including Consumer, Commercial and Public Sector programs within the U.S. Region. Our goal is to extract the greatest value from our customer relationships. The team works closely with the Global Products and Solutions organization and other internal business partners to develop opportunities to increase Mastercard’s share of business.Job Purpose The key focus of this role is to develop and execute aggressive account sales plans to meet the growth objectives of the Mastercard Prepaid strategy. This role is a customer-facing position which requires exceptional strategic selling, relationship management and business development skills. The ability to quantify and effectively prioritize opportunities, develop concepts and deliver solutions along with transferring those skills to your direct report account managers is critical. Achieve Prepaid strategic objectives for an assigned customer set. Grow and retain brand share, optimize existing programs and expand product offering uptake to drive revenue and value creation for Mastercard and our Prepaid customers.The Role Manage customer accounts under management. Deliver against sales targets for Mastercard products & services and net revenue targets from existing and new business. Work with the U.S. Prepaid product team to help develop the Prepaid strategy and go to market plan. Develop and ensure flawless execution of Prepaid market growth, sales and account management strategy in alignment with accounts under management. Effectively work with other internal partners including Services, Product, Finance, Legal, Franchise and Operations/TAMs. Identify customer needs and design strategies that drive customized solutions for the business that drive profit, revenue growth, and value creation for both Mastercard and the customer. Collaborate with the customer to establish and execute annual business planning and quarterly review sessions to establish, monitor and report progress against joint objectives. Negotiate, execute and manage the customer contract agreement process. Initiate high-level interactive business conversations with key decision makers around new or emerging issuing opportunities with focus on bringing new revenue opportunities to Mastercard. Provide consultative industry and Mastercard insights in alignment with segment specialty. Represent the voice of customer by communicating market feedback and opportunities to GP&S and other internal partners with the goal of improving existing solutions and developing new solutions. Ensure collaboration with U.S. Product Delivery and Technical Account Managers to bring holistic account support.All About You Demonstrated sales, business development and account management experience and conversant in the payments industry with a successful track record of success. Self-starter, able to identify and direct sales activities to achieve objectives. Ability to work in a complex and changing environment that requires flexibility and creativity to succeed. Understands of Mastercard products and solutions and can demonstrate the value proposition they offer to customers to differentiate Mastercard. Prepaid knowledge is a strong plus. Ability to integrate knowledge across disciplines (e.g., marketing, operations, product, risk). Must demonstrate effective leadership, negotiation and problem resolution skills. Proven client relationship skills with solid negotiation capabilities and demonstrated influencing skills. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
