Director, Administrative Services – New York, NY Global investment bank is seeking a Director of Administrative Services. This role will oversee and manage the Firm’s administrative support function, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that align with the evolving needs of the business. The leader in this role will implement administrative policies and procedures, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and engage with key stakeholders across the organization. A forward-looking perspective is critical: the administrative support model will continue to evolve with workplace trends and the use of technology, and this role will be responsible for staying ahead of those changes to ensure the right level and type of support is in place.Job DescriptionLead and manage a global administrative support function, including office and administrative managers, ensuring consistency in standards, processes, and policy compliance across regions.Develop and implement administrative strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness while anticipating future needs and ways of working.Continuously evaluate and adapt the administrative support model to reflect changing expectations and workplace practices, including structure, competencies, resource allocation, and use of technology.Manage the performance management and annual compensation processes for the global administrative functionStay ahead of trends in administrative support and workplace operations, positioning the team as proactive partners in enabling productivity and employee experience.Serve as the primary escalation point for the administrative management team, helping to resolve conflicts or personnel matters and partnering with Human Capital Management (“HCM”) on sensitive or complex issues.Ensure stakeholder satisfaction across all teams, including senior leaders, by maintaining high standards of service delivery.Partner with Corporate Services managers and HCM to support recruitment, onboarding, and training for administrative professionals and managers.Facilitate communication between departments to promote collaboration, alignment, and timely issue resolution.Develop and manage resource allocation plans to ensure effective support.Foster a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement within the administrative team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required10+ years of experience in an administrative leadership role within a corporate environment.Demonstrated success leading teams through change and evolving workplace needs.Proven track record of project management, process improvement, and driving adoption of technology solutions.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Deep knowledge of administrative best practices, with a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and respond to shifts in how administrative support is delivered.Compensation: $185-195K base plus discretionary bonus and competitive benefits package.This role is onsite in Manhattan 5 days a week with occasional remote Fridays.
