This role is responsible for driving commercial strategy and execution to achieve revenue and profitability targets, while strengthening market leadership and customer satisfaction. The Director will lead a cross-functional team across sales, marketing, and technical functions and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute commercial strategies to achieve or exceed annual sales and OPEX targetsDrive revenue growth and expand the BioProduction customer base in JapanBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accountsLead, develop, and inspire a cross-functional team of sales, marketing, and technical professionalsCommunicate business performance and insights clearly to internal stakeholdersCollaborate with Product Management, Technical Support, QA/RA, FP&A, Operations, and Legal teamsProvide commercial input into new product development and regional go-to-market strategiesMonitor market trends and competitive dynamics to guide strategic decision-makingQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field preferredProven leadership experience in commercial roles within life sciences, bioproduction, or related industries; experience in bioproduction or adjacent industries is preferred but not requiredStrong track record of driving sales growth and managing cross-functional teamsBilingual capability required: native-level Japanese and business-level or above English proficiencyExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively in a matrix and global organization
