The company provides Interim Consulting, Advisory, Direct Hire, and Executive Search solutions in the disciplines of Finance & Accounting, Technology, and Human Resources, and has grown exponentially in the past three years.Conexus is backed by MidOcean Partners, a premier New York-based alternative asset manager specializing in middle-market private equity and alternative credit investments with over $10 billion invested to date in portfolio companies.Job Description:The Director, Client Development is responsible for building relationships within the Office of the CFO at Fortune 1000 and middle market companies in Los Angeles CountyCold call, set and conduct meetings with decision makers for accounting & finance interim / consulting / advisory and permanent hiringSource and qualify client hiring needs by defining scopes of work and leveraging expertise around market compensation and talent availabilityServe as subject matter expert for the accounting & finance employment landscape in Los Angeles CountyPartner with other team members to match qualified consultants to open job ordersLead the job order fulfillment process, coaching consultants on interview preparation and driving urgency with clients for timely feedback and decision makingResearch target companies and buyers within the territory, unearthing new business opportunities; define and execute strategies for relationship developmentStay abreast of market activity for target companies, including M&A, fundraising, earnings reports, leadership changes, and other material eventsMaintain and nurture existing client relationships, booking meetings and other meaningful connections on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or yearly cadence, depending on client priority and hiring frequencyNegotiate deal and contract terms with clients, including bill rates, fee structure, duration, etc.Cross-sell the firm’s other practice lines, including Executive Search, Advisory, IT, and Human Resources RecruitingBuild out and maintain the accuracy of internal contact database for target companies, through market research and other techniquesIn partnership with the Sr. Managing Director, respond to RFPs and prepare presentations for clientsDesired Experience:5+ years of outside sales and business development experience, with no less than 2 years calling on the Office of the CFO (CFO, VP Finance, Controller, etc.) pitching advisory, consulting, outsourced accounting, or recruiting / executive search servicesA proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment, and is passionate about advancing their career and driving growth for a businessAbility to leverage your network and our database of target accounts to build, strengthen and nurture relationshipsDemonstrated expertise and comfort interacting with C-level executivesHigh emotional intelligence: proven ability to collaborate with varying personalities both internally and externallyWillingness to receive and give feedback in real-timeExceptional written and oral communication skillsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year universityAbility to work on-site in our Glendale, California or Los Angeles, California office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each weekWhat We Offer:Uncapped commissionHybrid work setup (3 days in office)Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, unlimited PTOProfessional development and career growth opportunities
