This person will be responsible for generating partnership revenue, as well as, generating leads through prospecting, cold-calling, face-to-face meetings, and relationship building. The Director, Corporate Partnership Sales will report to the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships. This person will be a member of the corporate partnership team, assisting leaders of the department with identifying new corporate partnership business opportunities. The Director, Corporate Partnership Sales will also cultivate strong relationships and drive revenue by renewing and growing the organization’s existing partnership business.What will you do?Cultivate new business on behalf of the Corporate Partnerships team by developing proposals, generating leads, conducting presentations, and negotiating contractsGenerate revenue across all KC Current assets and inventory, with a focus on existing and emerging sponsorship assetsGenerate new opportunities through direct delivery of sales presentations for KC CurrentEstablish and build client relationships through prospecting and lead development projects, including networking activities outside of day-to-day appointmentsWork with the activation team to upsell existing partnersLead and/or assist the sales process from discovery, negotiations, and closingDevelop and customize sponsorship programs using inventory controlled by the organization to generate net revenue and meet the needs of clientsMaintain a network of prospective clients and agency contactsCollaborate with other departments (e.g. marketing and community relations) to build out sponsor programs and applicable assetsWork with the activation team to own the rate card development and management processExercise sound judgement when prospecting potential corporate partners to ensure alignment with the KC Current brand, mission and vision Other duties as assigned What do you need to succeed?Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or related fieldA minimum of 7-10 years or prior sports and/or entertainment industry sponsorship sales experience is requiredExperience or familiarity with tools such as Sponsor United, LinkedIn, ZoominfoPreferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriateAbility to function in a high-paced environment Special Requirements Of The JobMust be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time sensitive matters with senior executives.
