Director, Governance and Risk, Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and Misconduct in the Construction IndustryStep into a high-profile leadership role at the heart of a significant public inquiry examining misconduct in Queensland's construction industry. This is your opportunity to lead governance and risk management for an independent Commission of Inquiry that will shape the future of construction, housing, and major infrastructure projects across Queensland.What you'll doLead and manage a dedicated team, ensuring sustainable delivery of priorities in a time-constrained, high-demand environment.Develop and embed governance and risk management practices across a large multi-disciplinary team, aligned with legislative requirements and delegated authority.Provide strategic advice to the Secretary, Chief Operating Officer and senior leaders on governance, risk obligations and compliance matters.Apply integrated program and project management frameworks to support best-practice delivery of Inquiry outcomes.Guide the preparation and conduct of public and private hearings, ensuring quality, compliance and lawfulness across all activities.Navigate complex stakeholder relationships across the Inquiry team, Department of Justice, and external partners.Ensure compliance with governance, record keeping and public sector integrity requirements.Who you areYou're an experienced leader who thrives under pressure and excels at building governance frameworks in complex, scrutinised environments.
