The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing mass media marketing, media relations, public relations, external communications, internal communications in conjunction with key leadership, public service announcement campaigns, social media, and creative services. This position demands a strategic approach to consistently position the brand in a manner that garners increased confidence from a diverse array of stakeholders while promoting the overall strategy, vision, and mission of the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill in integrating these various channels to achieve cohesive and effective communication, thereby enhancing the overall reputation and impact of CLS.Responsibilities Plan, execute and define appropriate messaging, audience targeting, distribution and media mix to drive reach, impressions, engagement, and conversion. Leads digital and social platform initiatives, including content, marketing performance and audience development. Manages marketing staff and external agency partners in planning and execution efforts. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop campaigns to grow awareness and conversion for events, services, and programs. Sets marketing KPIs and provides insights around reach and performance. Leads creative services staff to develop rich and compelling content across digital media, social, video, and offline channels, adhering to best practices for channel development and distribution. Develops audience segmentation and campaign targeting best practices. Develops calendar and budget around annual campaigns, always-on/evergreen campaigns, and new program opportunities. Collaborates with team to develop marketing toolkits and assets Accountable for meeting performance expectations and metrics for department and respective budget activities. Provides strategic insight, counsel, data, and intelligence to executive leadership as appropriate on best practices and growth strategies. Supports external relationship growth and collaboration through relationship building with external counterparts. Able to articulate a vision for communications, marketing, and branding that advances the reputation of CLS with all its diverse audiences and inspires internal communications partners across the organization. Act as creative studio manager, understanding all of the elements of the design and recording processes from end-to-end. Proofing and reviewing designs and checking documents before they are shared or posted Assisting on the creative production side when needed and meeting with team members for feedback. Creating and implementing monthly deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with on-time delivery. Ensure the studio is maintained in safe and clean condition, and that the facilities are kept secure. Maintain and safekeep recording equipment and supplies. Oversee script/show writing, use of teleprompter and conducting interviews Interview and work on-camera with senior executives and leadership. Collaborate on developing questions for interview segments with subject matter experts Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies for the legal industry, in line with company goals and objectives. Drive brand awareness and increase donations through innovative and effective marketing campaigns and initiatives. Stay up to date with industry news, regulations, and developments. Create and manage budgets for marketing and communication initiatives, ensuring cost effectiveness and maximum ROI. Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and influencers to increase brand visibility and credibility. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired results. Lead and mentor a team of marketing and communication professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals. Integrate communications and marketing into all aspects of the organization to enhance effectiveness and further the mission of CLS’s units and efforts.Requirements Commitment Demonstrating commitment to promoting the mission, vision, and values of CLS. Unwavering dedication to high-quality legal programs, fiscal strength, and organizational integrity. Background and Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Five or more years in communications, corporate marketing, public relations or creative agency experience. Minimum one to three years of experience in social media engagement, strategic fundraising, diverse community relations or similar role. Significant experience in brand development and strategy needed. Demonstrated knowledge with Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram), Google Analytics, and graphic design platforms (Adobe Creative Suit, Photoshop, Canva). Experience in social media for businesses, brand management, marketing, or a related field. Experience with development and implementation of campaigns for email, e-newsletters, online advertising, and search engines. Manage competing priorities, control time, and content-sensitive projects within a flexible environment. Be highly articulate with polished writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to see the big picture" and provide strategic advice and input while also executing tactically policies and procedures. Full understanding of the marketing, branding, and communications process from creative conceptualization to implementation Expert knowledge of traditional, digital, video, and emerging media; experience and savvy in crisis communications and issues management Demonstrated success fostering an inclusive team culture and building an efficient, cohesive, and collaborative team. Proof of insurance and driver’s license necessary to be able to travel, possibility of working weekends and evenings. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods siting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.STARTING SALARY: $80,000, more with experience.
