The benefit of this is two fold: consumers benefit by receiving offers, incentives and coupons. Through a shopper’s interactions with the former AppCard’s platform records and learns shopper behavior and gives grocers the ability to make their data actionable to increase average basket size and systematically increase repeat purchases.About the role:As the Director of Compliance and Card Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of credit card operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This include supervising vendors that manage the credit card programs and handle dispute resolution. You will also be the main point of contact for audits and external reviews related to card and payment operations. This role requires you to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and mitigate risk.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance for credit card operations and dispute resolution.Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence and compliance.Manage the chargeback and dispute resolution process, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements like Reg E and Reg Z, as well as payment network rules.Develop and implement strategies to prevent fraud and mitigate risk related to card payments and electronic transactions.Serve as the primary relationship owner for vendors, including credit card processors and payment networks, and oversee their performance.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.Manage and optimize end-to-end card and payment operations, including transaction processing, settlement, and reporting.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and implement process improvements.Develop and support executive reporting that captures key performance indicators (KPIs).Execute work requests from the Chief Growth Officer.Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects company values.Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required.A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with prior experience in a fintech, banking or credit union environment.Proven experience managing teams in a centralized operational setting.Proven experience in payments policy development, operational oversight, and product management.Expertise in managing card payment systems, including dispute resolution and fraud prevention.A deep understanding of payment network rules and other relevant laws and regulations.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Relevant certifications, such as Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or Certified. Payments and Cards Professional (CPCP), are preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams.Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change.Effective communication across multiple levels of an organization.Works well in a team/highly collaborative environment.**This role is full-time from our NYC office**
