General SummaryThe Dir. Of Operations Planning and Analysis is responsible for the Business Planning, Financial Analysis and Payment Approval for the Distribution Center network at the Steve Madden company. This position supports the Retail Distribution business. The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our LIC office and requires working on-site five days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting for company Distribution CentersDevelop and monitor key performance indicators including spending and volume variances such as plan vs actual spendProduce weekly and monthly reporting using SM suite of reporting tools, systems and MS office applicationsMeet with external and internal business partners to obtain information required to develop a business plan and budgetAudit and approve distribution center related bills which are submitted by our 3rd party distribution partners and local finance teamsProvide key insights and estimated financial impacts of agreements, service contracts and various operational projects or process improvementsPeriodically review and update existing policies and practices, making improvements as needed to the organizations and departments processesEffectively communicate and present financial information to senior leadership and operations teamWork with leadership to ensure Distribution Centers have appropriate information to plan and operate in an effective an efficient mannerTrack key metrics and KPIs to evaluate program performance and support data-driven decision-makingAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as neededPerform other duties and special projects as assignedSpecific Job Skills Essential duties includeAuditing and approving Distribution Center related expenses while suggesting and implementing process improvements to improve the processInterface with brand management, various supply chain functions and 3rd party distribution center managementRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 7 years’ experience in Business Planning, Financial Analysis supporting operations within the supply chainComprehensive knowledge in operational/financial metrics and the audit and bill payment processStrong project management, analytical, and communication skillsExperience presenting and communicating operational variances on a monthly weekly basis to operational and senior leadershipProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skillsThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000-$125,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
