Director of Engineering – Fintech / Digital BankingWe’re looking for an inspiring Director of Engineering to shape the technology vision and drive engineering excellence for a rapidly growing digital banking and financial platform that’s redefining access to financial services across emerging markets.In this role, you’ll lead a talented group of engineers and architects to build scalable, high-performing systems that power modern lending and financial products. You’ll combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic foresight — aligning engineering execution with business outcomes and ensuring our technology foundation is ready for the next wave of innovation.What You’ll DoLead multiple engineering teams building next-generation lending and financial platforms.Develop and execute a clear, forward-looking technology strategy and roadmap.Partner closely with business, product, and data leaders to align technology decisions with growth goals and customer outcomes.Introduce modern architectures, frameworks, and tools — championing best practices in DevOps, cloud, microservices, and “AI-first” product development.Build a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and ownership across engineering.Establish strong governance for architecture, code quality, performance, and security.Support cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing across tech hubs in Asia and beyond.What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles (e.g., Head/Director/VP of Engineering).Proven experience in fintech, digital banking, or high-growth tech environments — ideally in lending, payments, or credit-risk technology.Deep understanding of lending operations (loan origination, underwriting, collections, risk models) and how to optimize them through smart use of technology and data.Solid grasp of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), modern software architectures, and microservices-based platforms.Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).Strong track record leading large, diverse engineering teams — 100+ engineers preferred.Strategic mindset with hands-on technical insight; comfortable switching between architecture discussions and long-term roadmap planning.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills.Experience working across multi-country or emerging markets is a plus.Nice to HaveExperience in integrating fintech platforms with external APIs, payment gateways, or alternative data sources for credit scoring.Familiarity with AI/ML applications in fintech.Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Scrum Master, or PMP are advantageous.Based in or open to relocating to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (with regional collaboration opportunities).Why You’ll Love It HereJoin a fast-growing, purpose-driven fintech transforming how financial services reach millions.Work alongside international teams that value innovation, agility, and collaboration.Competitive compensation, annual bonuses, and comprehensive health coverage for you and your family.Continuous learning opportunities through tech conferences, internal hackathons, and global knowledge exchange.A modern, flexible workplace that prioritizes balance, creativity, and growth.
