Job DescriptionInternal Job Title: Director of MarketingJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeJob Location: Ottawa, CanadaWork Model: HybridPosition SummaryAs Director of Marketing in BUMP, you will report to the General Manager and be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that help drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for both BUMP and its partners. This pivotal role encompasses leading the delivery of innovative marketing services and strategic guidance to our partners, empowering them to maximize their fundraising potential through BUMP’s fundraising platform while simultaneously elevating BUMP’s brand, reputation, and market presence.You will oversee and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Your leadership will ensure that staff are motivated, mentored, and equipped to deliver best-in-class marketing solutions for both internal initiatives and partner campaigns. You will be accountable for team development, work distribution, and performance management, ensuring that each team member contributes effectively to both BUMP’s goals and partner success.In addition to internal team leadership, you will collaborate closely with partners to design, execute, and optimize custom marketing campaigns tailored to their unique needs. This includes providing strategic consulting, creative assets, and actionable performance reporting, as well as developing toolkits and best practices for partner marketing enablement. Your role will be instrumental in scaling marketing operations, supporting partner onboarding, and ensuring seamless execution of multi-channel campaigns across digital, brand, and partner channels.This role requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in team management, partner marketing services, and the ability to scale operations in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and lead the company’s overall marketing strategy across digital, brand, and partner channels. Manage and mentor a high-performing marketing team and external agencies as required. Oversee marketing budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics. Own and Optimize the Shopify Ecosystem: Oversee the marketing strategy and execution across our Shopify storefronts, ensuring seamless integration of campaigns, promotions, and customer journeys. Customize Shopify themes and experiences: Collaborate with developers and designers to implement custom features using Liquid, enhancing UX and conversion rates. Leverage Shopify marketing tools: Utilize Shopify Email, Shopify Audiences, and third-party integrations to maximize campaign performance. Artificial IntelligenceFamiliarity with how AI is used for customer segmentation, personalization, predictive analytics, and campaign optimization. Predictive Modeling: Ability to interpret or collaborate on models that forecast customer behavior, churn, or campaign ROI. A/B Testing & Optimization: Experience using AI to automate and analyze multivariate testing. Customer Journey Mapping: Using AI to track and optimize touchpoints across digital channels. Conversational AI: Understanding of chatbots, voice assistants, and their role in customer engagement. AI-Driven Personalization: Experience implementing dynamic content and product recommendations. Change Management: Leading teams through AI adoption and digital transformation. Digital Marketing ExecutionDrive multi-channel campaigns including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and paid media. Optimize conversion funnels and user journeys across web and mobile platforms. Implement and manage marketing automation tools and CRM systems. Partner Marketing ServicesCollaborate with partners to design and execute custom marketing campaigns for their lotteries and raffles. Provide strategic consulting, creative assets, and performance reporting to support partner success. Develop toolkits, templates, and best practices for partner marketing enablement. Brand & CommunicationsOwn brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all touchpoints. Lead public relations, media outreach, and reputation management. Ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across campaigns and channels. Analytics & OptimizationMonitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and marketing dashboards. Conduct A/B testing and conversion rate optimization to improve results. Report on KPIs and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
