Brief DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of integrated marketing initiatives that bring Champion Teamwear’s wholesale products to market in partnership with key retail partners. This role serves as a critical bridge between internal creative, product, and sales teams and external retail stakeholders to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies and execution. Each brand offers customers a premier selection and exceptional service for all their sportswear needs, from t-shirts and caps to fleece, performance wear, and outerwear.Essential DutiesLead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies in collaboration with retail partners to effectively launch and promote wholesale products.Collaborate with sales, product, creative, and retail teams to develop joint marketing plans that align with seasonal calendars and business goals.Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for retail partnerships, driving collaboration and accountability across both internal and external stakeholders.Own and manage the marketing budget, including strategic allocation, tracking, and reporting of spend.Proactively solicit marketing funds from internal and external stakeholders, including co-op marketing contributions from retail partners.Provide strategic direction to internal creative teams and external vendors to deliver high-impact, brand-aligned marketing assets.Track, measure, and optimize marketing performance, ensuring initiatives support both brand equity and bottom-line results.Ensure operational excellence across the creative and marketing process, aligning teams and workflows with Champion Teamwear brand standards.Troubleshoot issues during campaign execution, brainstorm innovative solutions, and ensure efficient operations within the marketing department.Minimum Qualifications7–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong background in retail or wholesale marketing partnerships.Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market plans in collaboration with retail or channel partners.Strong understanding of budget management and experience with co-op marketing or joint funding models.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, particularly in cross-functional and partner environments.Demonstrated ability to lead integrated campaigns across print, digital, and ecommerce channels.Strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a bias toward execution.Experience working within or with apparel, sportswear, or consumer goods brands is preferred.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the associate.
