Director of Procurement

About the RoleTake a central role in guiding the Direct Procurement community across multiple business areas, ensuring alignment among colleagues who work with the company's key suppliers.Act as Lead Buyer for selected strategic suppliers within the group.Shape the strategy for Direct Materials, focusing on managing commodity groups, optimizing the supplier base, and driving long-term sourcing decisions.Build and maintain strong partnerships with major global suppliers to secure performance, innovation, and sustainable collaboration.Lead cost-focused initiatives through targeted negotiations, supplier development efforts, and broader transformation activities.Support leadership by preparing and coordinating management forums and facilitating alignment across various business units.Safeguard global standards and compliance in procurement by supporting process consistency and policy implementation.Partner closely with business areas and the broader Lead Buyer network to ensure procurement goals support overall business and financial objectives.Stay ahead of market changes and emerging risks to adjust sourcing strategies and maintain supply reliability.Your profileDegree in Industrial or Business Engineering—or a related discipline.Solid background in Direct Procurement, preferably gained in manufacturing, automotive, mechanical engineering, or consulting.Hands-on experience in commodity strategies, supplier negotiations, and strategic sourcing.Confident leadership style, with a history of working with international and cross-functional groups.Strong communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and build trusted internal and external relationships.Fluent English skills; German or Portuguese is an advantage.Prepared to travel internationally for a global role.What we offerA diverse and international environment with challenging tasks and strong career development opportunities.A collaborative workplace culture that embraces and supports diversity.Attractive employee benefits, including bonuses, cafeteria options, sports club access, and health and pension funds.Contract TypeFull-time employer
