DescriptionMiddleby Residential is a collection of premier international consumer brands dedicated to manufacturing and distributing many of the best known and loved kitchen appliances and interior furnishings in the world.The Director of Sales for the central region will be responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy in this key geographical area. the position will drive revenue growth, enhance market share, and ensure high-quality customer engagement by developing strategic initiatives and leading a high-performing sales team.Key Responsibilites Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with overall company vision and goals.Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities for expansion, and customer needs within the Region.Collaborate with the executive team to define long-term objectives and set actionable sales targets; work closely with channel leaders to collaborate for maximum growth across all brands and through all channels. Team Management & Development:Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Develop training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales force.Establish clear performance metrics and evaluate team performance regularly to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Customer Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive sales growth and customer loyalty.Oversee sales representatives and account managers to enhance customer service and address concerns effectively.Identify and implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention. Sales Operations & Performance:Analyze sales performance data to identify actionable insights, optimize resources, and improve sales effectiveness.Leverage PowerBI and technology to support sales processes and track performance metrics efficiently.Prepare regular reports for the executive team, highlighting progress against sales targets and strategic initiatives. Market Analysis & Competition:Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies accordingly.Identify potential challenges and proactively develop solutions to mitigate risks. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with marketing, brand developers, and finance to ensure sales strategies are effectively integrated across all business functions.Provide input on product design/development based on customer feedback/market research.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.This role requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record in sales management and an extensive understanding of the appliance market dynamics. Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the appliance or related industry.Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing talent.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends into actionable strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.Strategic thinker with a results-oriented, customer-centric approach.Change management agent.Advanced negotiation and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States (30-50%).
