Job Title: Director of Sales & MarketingFlexible Salary + Full Expat BenefitsJob Overview:Our client is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for a branded luxury lifestyle property in the Maldives. This role requires a strong, hands-on leader with the ability to manage and elevate a diverse sales team while driving global market penetration and strengthening the resort’s luxury positioning. The ideal candidate brings a refined luxury lifestyle background, thrives in a remote island environment, and preferably comes from outside the local or regional markets to bring fresh perspectives and wider global reach.Key Responsibilities:Leads the development and execution of the resort’s full commercial strategy, aligning sales, marketing, and revenue initiatives for maximum performance.Oversees and develops the sales team, ensuring strong leadership, coaching, and continuous performance improvement.Expands international market presence by identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and high-value segments.Drives brand visibility through integrated marketing, PR, digital campaigns, and luxury-focused content strategies.Collaborates closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and distribution channels.Strengthens relationships with key travel partners, luxury agencies, corporate accounts, and global networks.Ensures cohesive brand representation across all platforms and guest touchpoints.Monitors market trends, competitive movements, and global travel patterns to inform strategic decision-making.Manages budgets, reporting, KPIs, and performance analytics to ensure commercial efficiency and strong business results.Represents the resort at major trade shows, luxury travel events, and brand-level engagements.Qualifications & Requirements:Experience in senior-level sales and marketing roles within luxury lifestyle or high-end hospitality brands.Preferably coming from outside the local or regional markets to bring broader global exposure and fresh strategic insights.Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams.Experience working in remote island destinations; Maldives experience is a strong advantage.Deep understanding of luxury travel markets, brand positioning, key segments, and global distribution.Hands-on, proactive style with the ability to take ownership from day one and adapt to fast-paced operational needs.Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.Commercially driven mindset with the ability to convert strategy into measurable results.
