WHY DO WE NEED YOU?As Director of Strategy and Innovation at Saint-Gobain Canada, you will be a key member of the Canadian Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll lead strategic initiatives and innovation projects that shape the company’s future, drive growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals.Drive innovation through new ideas, technologies, and processes.Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute growth strategies.Monitor and evaluate the performance of initiatives and projects.Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership.Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvementBusiness TransformationLead transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.Integrate emerging technologies and processes.Oversee change management strategies for smooth transitions.Stay informed on industry trends to adapt strategies accordinglyStrategic PlanningFormulate long-term plans aligned with company vision.Analyze market and internal capabilities to identify growth paths.Establish success metrics and adjust strategies as needed.Explore strategic partnerships and acquisitions.Encourage strategic thinking across all levels of the organization.SustainabilityChampion sustainability and corporate social responsibility.Embed sustainable practices into operations and decision-making.Communicate sustainability goals and progress to stakeholders.Identify opportunities for resource efficiency and environmental innovation.Core CompetenciesStrong business acumen and analytical skills.Leadership in team development and cultural transformation.Advanced problem-solving and communication abilities.Proven success in change management and strategic execution.Experience in manufacturing and support functions.Ability to translate strategy into action and drive results.IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, strategy, or related field.10–15 years in strategic planning and innovation leadership.10 -15 years of progressive cross-functional experience in Innovation and other leadership roles, with the ability to work in and understand the dynamics of large and small operations, with a broad variety of manufacturing processesCombination of manufacturing plant operations and corporate office experienceFamiliarity with Industry 4.0 and continuous improvement methodologies.Proven ability to lead hybrid teams and sustain cultural change.Six Sigma, WCM, lean, or other continuous improvement methodology experienceProven ability to lead, shift, and sustain new culturesProven results in management and sustainment of change, employee engagementProven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and innovation projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strategic thinking and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US“At Saint-Gobain, our employees have pride in belonging to an organization whose culture is made up of the core values; Trust, Empowerment, & Collaboration.
