Job OverviewThe Director of Supply Chain Planning is the core of the company's supply chain strategy and execution, responsible for developing and optimizing the overall planning of key aspects such as demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, logistics coordination, and supplier collaboration.This position requires implementing an efficient, flexible, and visualized planning system within a complex global supply network to support business growth, cost control, and customer satisfaction goals.II. Main Responsibilities1. Strategic Planning and Process OptimizationDevelop the company's medium- and long-term supply chain strategic plans to ensure alignment between the supply chain and company business objectives.Drive end-to-end (E2E) supply chain visualization and optimization, including demand forecasting, capacity planning, material control, and delivery planning.Design and optimize the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process to improve planning accuracy and execution efficiency.1. **Driving Digital Supply Chain Transformation:** Utilizing AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics tools to optimize decision-making.2. **Demand and Supply Planning Management:**Establish and manage a global demand planning system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Develop supply planning and master production schedules (MPS).Coordinate production, procurement, warehousing, and sales teams to achieve supply-demand balance and inventory optimization.Manage key materials and capacity bottlenecks to ensure supply continuity and customer delivery commitments.3. **Data and Systems Management:**Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP/APS/MRP systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle SCM, Kinaxis, Anaplan).Drive supply chain data governance and automated analysis, establishing real-time monitoring dashboards.Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory turnover, planning accuracy, order fulfillment rate, and supplier OTD (On-Demand).4. Cost and Performance OptimizationOptimize inventory structure and turnover to reduce stagnant and expired inventory.Reduce total supply chain cost (TLC) through improved forecasting accuracy, production efficiency, and transportation planning.Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen) to enhance operational performance.5. Cross-functional and Global CollaborationWork closely with sales, production, purchasing, finance, and R&D teams to drive cross-functional collaborative initiatives.Establish efficient communication mechanisms with regional supply chain leaders, manufacturing sites, and third-party partners (3PLs/OEMs).Participate in global capacity deployment and supply risk management.Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure supply chain readiness is in sync with the market.6. Team Management and LeadershipLead the supply chain planning team, including demand planning managers, supply planning managers, and production planning analysts.Cultivate a high-performing team culture and drive continuous learning and improvement.Develop team development plans to ensure the organization possesses analytical, collaborative, and strategic planning capabilities.III. Job QualificationsEducation BackgroundBachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.MBA or APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.Work Experience10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or operations management.At least 5 years of experience in a planning leadership role in a multinational corporation or large manufacturing company.Familiar with end-to-end supply chain operations (procurement, production, logistics, inventory, demand forecasting).Practical experience using Advanced Planning Systems (APS) or ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Kinaxis/Anaplan).Preference will be given to candidates who have led the successful implementation of S&OP or IBP processes.Professional SkillsProficient in demand forecasting, capacity planning, materials management, and inventory control.Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.Excellent data analysis and modeling skills, able to use data to guide decision-making.Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Python (preferred) for supply chain analysis.Excellent cross-departmental communication, influence, and execution skills.Fluent in English with global team collaboration experience.IV.
