Role Overview: As the Director for SAMEA within the International Business Division, you will play a critical role in helping Singapore businesses expand internationally. You will lead a team of experienced Country Heads and Market Advisors, develop programs that enable internationalisation, conduct market advisories, organize conferences, and plan overseas mission trips to provide Singapore companies with information on overseas markets and networking opportunities.Responsibilities:1. Market Development, Partnership & Program ImplementationOversee initiatives for the SAMEA team to engage Singapore companies for overseas expansion.Guide team members in formulating market engagement strategies and analyzing market information.Develop new programs to broaden outreach, improve revenue, and ensure compliance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.Provide advisory and market knowledge to support companies' internationalization plans.Identify and appoint new partners and platforms for Singapore businesses’ internationalisation growth.Identify and secure revenue through partnerships, programs and services.Ensure all KPIs are met in timely manner2. Regional and Market KnowledgeGain in-depth knowledge of SAMEA markets and conduct research to provide market advisory.Formulate and articulate market prioritization strategies and implementation plans.Curate activities to drive market awareness and sectoral opportunities for Singapore companies.Develop sectoral & market analysis and country briefs, that will contribute to market engagement plans3. Excellence in Customer ExperiencePlan and organize SBF Global events within resource allocation, timeline, and budget.Engage Singapore companies to understand their international growth plans and facilitate market entry.Cultivate relationships with local and overseas market entry partners.4. Organizational DevelopmentSupport the Executive Directorin supervising project teams to ensure positive financial outcomes.Identify growth opportunities to enhance the financial impact of programs.Manage and mentor team members to achieve elevated service delivery standards.Align with SBF25 culture and organizational goals to lead the team effectively.In developing talents and career path of each team member.5. Secretariat DutiesAssist the Executive Director in managing business working groups and maintaining relationships with business chambers and associations.Develop country briefs to support senior management and external stakeholders.Host political office holders and attend related events.Provide administrative support to assigned Business Councils, Business Groups, Trade Associations, and Chambers.Ensure all reporting are conducted on time with required high qualityRequirements: Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in international business development. Experience in both private and government sectors preferredKnowledge and business connections in SAMEA region are advantageous.Ability to handle cross-cultural differences and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Strong business development, management, and negotiation skills.Experience in program development and management is a plus.Excellent leadership skills and a hands-on approach.Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a team player.
