This is a unique opportunity to use your dispatch, safety/security, and customer service skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth. As a CMT, you’ll be at the heart of campus operations, handling 15 - 45 dispatch calls daily, monitoring 900+ surveillance cameras, and coordinating emergency and non-emergency services across our expansive residential & school campus. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to serve.Key Responsibilities:Receive and coordinate incoming calls and service requestsMonitor fire, mechanical, and security alarmsDispatch Campus Safety Officers and Service TechniciansOperate as the central hub for phone and 2-way radio communicationsRespond during school closures and emergencies.Work schedule: 2nd shift, Wednesday - Saturday, 1:30 pm – 12:00 am.Compensation: Hourly pay rate: $22.33 - $29.81, pay is determined based on experience, plus a benefits package.The position will close for applications on 11/28/2025.Milton Hershey School does not discriminate in admissions or other programs and services on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, sex, religious creed or disability. Read important MHS policies on equal opportunity and diversity, equal employment opportunity, and more.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Experience working with security alarm systems and surveillance equipment.APCO Telecommunicator I, APCO Law Enforcement Dispatch, APCO Medical Dispatch training, preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM platforms.Experience with a Total Quality Management System a plus.Experience handling service requests, complaints, and issues/problems.Strong customer service and telephone dispatching skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for the students.Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
