The DAE owns the execution of new Core Lab business in Hospitals, Reference Labs, Physician Office Labs, and Government facilities across their geography. This role will also Partner with our distribution partners to develop solutions that drive revenue and achieve growth. This role is responsible for full life cycle of new business opportunities and will partner with customer-based decision makers to enhance their competitiveness/performance by successfully leveraging the Abbott Diagnostics portfolio of products. The role will be accountable for driving market share growth through new business opportunity realization and supporting all contract/business renewals.What You’ll Work OnLeverages cross-functional teams and resources successfullyQuickly develops trust and partnership with distributor partners and customer by demonstrating deep understanding of short and long-term needs and brings forward win-win solutionsManage complex and long-term capital sales cyclesWorks across multiple stakeholders including c-suite, expediting complex decisions to quick wins.Work with distribution channel partnersAbility to learn technical and scientific knowledge and utilize in selling situationsDevelops and deploys best practices, identifies new customer insights to drive business, highly accountable, and delivers above expectationsAnticipating where sales shortfalls might be and implements contingency plans to close the gap Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s degree with 2 years of sales experience or other applicable commercial experience.4 years of relevant experience.Willingness to travel up to 80%Experience selling capital equipmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree.5+ years of experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to senior-level laboratory leadership and C-suite executives.Experience selling thru distribution channel partnersProven success in strategic sales, including exceeding plans and turning around underperforming territories.Experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to senior-level/C-suite executives.Innovation and change management skills, with the ability to bring new ideas forward and drive them through the organization.Strong business planning process and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.Proficiency in SalesForce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.comFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
