Job ID SNS-1026Posted On17-Nov-2025(1 days ago)Job typePermanentSectorElectrical - FieldDevelop short, medium and long-term plans for MV/LV distribution network expansion and reinforcement.Analyze load growth, demand forecasts, and network capacity to ensure reliable power supply.Conduct technical studies for new substations, feeders, and distribution infrastructure.Prepare planning proposals, technical designs, and feasibility analyses for network development projects.Evaluate performance of existing distribution assets and recommend upgrades or replacements.Perform load flow studies, voltage drop analysis, and network reliability assessments (SAIDI/SAIFI impact).Review and approve network connection requests for new customers, developments, and industrial loads.Coordinate with engineering, operations, and construction teams to align plans with field requirements.Assess integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar PV into the distribution grid.Optimize network configuration for improved efficiency, stability, and capacity utilization.Prepare GIS-based planning layouts, network diagrams, and asset maps.Ensure all planning activities comply with regulatory requirements, technical standards, and safety guidelines.Monitor project implementation progress and validate alignment with approved network plans.Prepare planning reports, technical presentations, and data-driven recommendations for management.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.7+ years of experience in distribution planning, power systems, or power network engineering.Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution systems, load forecasting, and grid design principles.Experience with power system analysis tools (e.g., CYME, ETAP, DIgSILENT).Familiarity with GIS applications and distribution network modeling.Strong analytical, planning, and technical reporting skills.Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and manage planning tasks effectively.
