Job Title: Intermediate Document ControllerLocation: Calgary, Alberta (preferred)Position Type: Full-Time (Staff or Contract – TBD)About our Client:Our client specializes in developing and implementing large-scale document management systems, helping clients in mining, public works, and beyond to streamline, standardize, and optimize their document control processes with practical, sustainable solutions.About the RoleOur client is seeking an Intermediate Document Controller to join their team supporting a significant new mine build for a major mining client. This Calgary-based position will work alongside project leadership—including engineering, procurement, and construction teams—to maintain organized, secure, and up-to-date document records. The role reports to the project Document Control Manager.This role is ideal for candidates who bring strong technical document management skills and are familiar with the fast-paced demands of large-scale mining or EPCM environments.Key Responsibilities:Processing incoming transmittals both internal and contractor.Processing document number and information requests.Uploading and filing electronic project documentation and populating metadata accordingly.Assisting with the auditing and maintenance of the project SharePoint technical libraries and internal discipline libraries.Assisting with the auditing of project document deliverables.Assisting with project SharePoint onboarding training and new contactor support.Assisting with reconciliation of audit / clean up / maintenance of the technical and internal libraries, primarily in ensuring meta data is correct, and proper revisioning and superseding / voiding of appropriate versions are being followed.Support project Document Control Manager in managing and maintaining the large file storage repository (Egnyte) and corresponding placeholders in project SharePoint.Qualifications:3–5 years of experience in document control, preferably in the mining, infrastructure, energy, or engineering sectors.Strong knowledge of document management systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Procore, or similar).Familiarity with engineering documents and numbering systems.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proactive follow-up.Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and supporting complex projects.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environment.Strong communication skills for supporting project team members and external contractors.Based in Calgary Alberta or able to commute/relocate as needed.Why Join UsThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile mining project with a strong team of technical and project professionals.
