The novel technology harnesses the power of chemistry coupled to machine learning to impact drug discovery and development for rare genetic diseases, vaccines and cancer. Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cellular Delivery Scientist to join our growing research and development team in Montreal, Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for late-stage development, formulation, and biological testing of modified mRNA molecules to support the discovery and development of the Company’s next-generation therapeutics. This includes LNP formulation, biophysical characterization, cellular assays and cellular target development. This role is essential to advancing our modified mRNA-based therapeutic platforms and technologies. Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize procedures for LNP formulation of mRNA, investigating compositions and in vitro characterizationAssess quality and integrity/stability of molecules using cell-based approaches, flow cytometry and ex vivo bioassaysMaintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and ensure data integrity.Analyze and interpret experimental data, draw meaningful conclusions, and present findings to internal teams.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including molecular biology, chemistry, and machine learning.Stay up to date with advancements in RNA biology, nucleic acid therapeutics, and related technologies.Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment Qualifications:Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field with a focus on RNA biology.3+ years of laboratory experience working with RNA, preferably in an academic or industry setting.Proficiency in analysis and handling of RNA under RNase-free conditions, and/or other biologic molecules.Experience with generative lipid nanoparticles, emulsions, exosomes or other encapsulation technology.Experience with RNA analytical methods (e.g., Fragment analyzer, GE, LC, Nanodrop).Experience with cell culture, transfection techniques, and gene expression analysis.Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.Experience with scientific software tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel, image analysis software, etc).Fluency in French and English languagesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with mRNA therapeutics, RNA interference (siRNA/shRNA), or alternative delivery approaches.Experience with nanoparticle characterization methods including dynamic light scattering, zeta-sizer and encapsulation efficiency measurementsExperience in regulatory documentation or writing technical reports in a GMP/GxP environment.
