The novel technology harnesses the power of chemistry coupled to machine learning to impact drug discovery and development for rare genetic diseases, vaccines and cancer. Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Scientist in Translational Cell Biology to join our growing research and development team in Montreal, Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for late-stage development, biological testing, and in vivo efficacy studies for modified mRNA molecules to support the development of the Company’s next-generation therapeutics. This includes cell-based assays, flow cytometry, immunoassay development, ADCC assays, in vivo tissue analysis and microscopy techniques. This role is essential to advancing our modified mRNA-based therapeutic platforms and technologies. Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize cell-based assays involving mRNA, flow cytometry, ex vivo analysis and in vivo study designsMaintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and ensure data integrity.Analyze and interpret experimental data, draw meaningful conclusions, and present findings to internal teams.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including molecular biology, chemistry, and machine learning.Stay up to date with advancements in RNA biology, nucleic acid therapeutics, and related technologies.Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment Qualifications:Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field with a focus on RNA biology.3+ years of laboratory experience working with RNA, preferably in an academic or industry setting.Must be eligible for Mitacs fundingExperience with in vivo study design and coordination of experimentsExperience with confocal microscopy, fluorescence approaches to tissue analysis Experience with cell culture, transfection techniques, and gene expression analysis.Proficiency in analysis and handling of RNA under RNase-free conditions, and/or other biologic molecules.Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.Experience with scientific software tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, FloJo, Excel, image analysis software, etc).Fluency in French and English languagesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with mRNA therapeutics, RNA interference (siRNA/shRNA), or alternative delivery systems.Experience working in a cross-functional work environmentAnalysis of biologics and readouts from animal tissues or cell linesExperience in regulatory documentation or writing technical reports in a GMP/GxP environment.
