HV Logic Ltd. has experience delivering results for a wide range of clients in the electric utilities, oil and gas, and renewables sectors in Alberta. Role DescriptionTo support the growth of the company, HV Logic Ltd. is currently looking for a Software Developer/Engineer that is willing to learn or expand on specialized skills that are currently in high demand for the power industry. The successful candidate will be joining a small company with 30 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications with minimal direction and support. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.QualificationsDevelop quality software and web applicationsAnalyze and maintain existing software applicationsDesign highly scalable, testable codeDiscover and fix programming bugsDevelopment and customized programming as required .NET, C#, C, C++, python, java, React, Node.js, etc.Design, build, implement and maintain databases, scripts, views, functions, and stored procedures within SQL/NoSQL server to support application software.Design and development of cloud-based applications for Azure or AWS.Documentation and user support of custom applications.Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:Protocols such as SEL, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, and OPCEthernet IP networks, and serial communication.Configuration of servers, network switches, routers, firewalls, and gateways.Communication troubleshooting software such as WireShark.Network vulnerability testing tools such as Nmap port scans.VMWare/HyperV suite of virtual machine client and servers.IoT communications/hardware.
