About the roleWe are seeking a talented Drafter to join our team at M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd' in George Town, Penang. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in our Engineering department, responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and diagrams to support the successful delivery of our projects. What you'll be doingInterpreting engineering specifications and requirements to create accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD softwarePreparing a variety of drawings, including site plans, building elevations, floor plans, and mechanical schematicsCollaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirementsMaintaining and updating drawing archives and documentationProviding support and advice to project teams on technical drawing-related mattersStaying up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulationsWhat we're looking forDiploma or degree in Engineering Drafting or a related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter, preferably in the Engineering industryProficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorksStrong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawingsGood problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret engineering requirementsEffective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsKnowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulationsAbout usM.E.I.
