Headquartered in Dublin, with additional operations in the UK, Portugal and Spain, the organisation is scaling across Europe with a focus on service-led delivery and commercial growth underpinned by a strong regulatory foundation. The RoleThis is a key leadership appointment for the Dublin entity, assuming primary responsibility for regulatory governance and commercial performance.
The successful candidate will hold, or be immediately eligible to hold, PCF-1 and PCF-8 with the Central Bank of Ireland. Prior experience with PCF-5 and/or PCF-42 would be highly advantageous. This role combines strategic oversight with regulatory leadership, and is ideal for a commercially minded executive capable of maintaining stability, deepening regulatory relationships, and delivering growth across European markets. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as CEO of the Irish entity and lead on regulatory engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland as PCF-1 and PCF-8. Serve as a key member of the board and chair or attend Risk Committee meetings.
Support and strengthen regulatory relationships, with a particular focus on proactive and transparent engagement with the CBI. Drive the commercial and operational strategy for the Irish business while supporting international growth, including newly established European branches. Manage an outsourced operating model (including Finance, HR and IT), ensuring oversight and control frameworks are fit-for-purpose. Collaborate closely with functional leaders across London, Portugal and Spain including a London-based CRO. Lead governance, compliance and risk standards, ensuring the firm meets all internal and regulatory expectations. Maintain board-level communication and reporting, supporting long-term business strategy and regulatory readiness.
Candidate RequirementsStrong track record in senior leadership within a regulated financial services environment (FX, payments, fintech or banking). Approved (or approvable) for PCF-1 and PCF-8. PCF-5 and/or PCF-42 a significant advantage. Deep understanding of regulatory expectations in Ireland and a track record of successful Central Bank engagement. Experience working within a multi-jurisdictional or European-regulated framework. Commercially focused with experience navigating business performance through steady-state or transitional periods. Demonstrated experience managing outsourced or lean operational models. Gravitas and credibility at board level, with the ability to represent the business externally and internally.
