Job Description
Responsibilities Act as COMPANY representative in day-shift during critical rig re-activation / mobilization phase, as applicable. Jointly responsible for ensuring that the drilling unit is fit-for-purpose and arrives at the well location "ready-to-drill".Responsible for ensuring that the daily operations report pre-spud phase is prepared and issued in time.Responsible for coordinating the offshore pre-spud and mini-DWOP meetings to ensure rig crew (in each shift) have a complete understanding of the planned operations.Perform review of the well Master Equipment List (MEL), the rig move preparations and related procedures issued by the Rig Contractor, well Drilling Programme, well P&A Programme, Well Control Bridging Document, Well Containment Plan, Blow Out Contingency Plan and Relief Well Plan.Perform full review of all HSE and Logistics documentation to ensure a complete understanding (e.g. Emergency Response Plan, Oil Spill Response Plan, HSE Bridging Document, MEDEVAC Plan, Helicopter Boarding Procedure, Logistics Plan, HAZID, HAZOP, Bow Tie etc).Perform review of the Well Risk Register and ensure that all the actions assigned to the onsite/offshore team are implemented.Ensures full Wellsite compliance with the COMPANY HSE policies and procedures as detailed in the HSE Management System, HSE Standards and all other COMPANY HSE documentationEnsures all personnel are fully conversant with, and strictly adhere to, their responsibilities as detailed in the HSE Case for the respective installationSets a clear leadership example and promotes a high degree of health, safety and environmental awareness among subordinatesEnsures all near miss incidents and incidents resulting in injury or damage to assets, equipment or the environment are reported to Rig Superintendent and that assigned incidents and near miss events are notified, investigated and a report is writtenAct as the Company man for all operations at the well site, with work schedule mainly in dayshift and ensure all operations are executed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner while complying with the drilling programme, work instructions, company policy and local regulations. This should be achieved through active management of drilling contractor, operational personnel and service provider personnel offshore.Ensure site team members have a clear understanding about the objectives of the operations and their roles in delivering these objectives.Ensure that a clear lines of communication are established on the rig, for the DSV to be alerted immediately of any incident onboard the drilling unit (operational or HSE related) or major deviation from planned activities.Review and ensure delivery of Daily Drilling Report. Ensure that all the information included in the DDR is detailed and accurate.Ensure preparation of the daily operational performance report on the rig. Ensure identification of relevant improvement actions for the continuous performance improvement and to ensure that the operational consistency is achieved.Ensure preparation and review of the daily seven (7) day look-ahead, preparation of riser, casing and liner tallies, calculations for all cement jobs are completed in order to cross-check with other members of the offshore team prior to agreement on final numbers.Lead all the meetings and morning calls offshore. Ensure participation of DSV in key meetings by Rig Contractor offshore.Ensure all Non Productive Time (NPT) is accurately captured in a high level of detail and any required supporting documentation is delivered in a timely manner. NPT tracker will be maintained throughout the operation. Assist with the preparation of Non Conformance Reports related to NPT events.Requirement Minimum 15 years of relative industry experience (i.e. Senior Rig Contractor position, Drilling Engineer, Drilling Supervisor or Drilling Superintendent).Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a Drilling Supervisor with two (2) years experiences in HPHT operations.Valid Offshore Survival certification (e.g. BOSIET and HUET or equivalent) and valid medical certification.Valid combined surface and sub-surface IWCF (International Well Control Forum) certificate.Strong understanding of the Landmark Open Wells reporting system.Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and can work well in a team environment
