Job Description

(REF/HRS/SRF/25-10788)Responsible for load and unload aircraft parts, industrial tools, pallets, crates, and boxes utilizing various forms of forklifts and hand trucks (pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks). Drive and transport various goods to and from the facility. Responsible for transportation oversight of all parts, equipment, tooling and hazardous materials, ensuring item gate pass are accompanied for the movement of all items. Ensure all loads are secured properly prior transportation. Complete all tasks assigned most efficiently and within a timely mannerMinimum experience• Minimum 3 years’ experience in driving heavy vehicle• Experience in the relevant industry especially with a base facility for military aircraftsMinimum Qualification• High School certificate• Driver’s Heavy licenses/certificates from UAE is requiredFollow the day-to-day work related to own job to ensure continuity of operations.Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.Execute operator transactions in compliance with UAE laws, directives, technical manuals, standing operating procedures, safety procedures, and quality policies.Be familiar with and utilize the vehicle maintenance owner’s manual.Report to the Logistics Transportation Supervisor for all logistical matters pertaining to safe and effective vehicle operation.Manage loading, unloading, and ensure the safety of cargo being transported.Conduct damage inspections of materials before and after transportation.Help maintain all assigned rolling stock operationally.Report any critical information requirements to the Supervisor.Transport employees and assist them as required.Perform aircraft spare pick-ups from ports and deliveries as required.Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands.Maintain the assigned vehicle daily, checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; perform minor repairs or arrange for maintenance; and ensure the vehicle is kept clean.Keep records of vehicle use, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing, and performance tests of vehicle accessories such as lights and horn.Follow all required procedures in case of involvement in an accident.Verify documentation for collected or delivered items.Ensure all required passes are valid before dispatch to assigned premises.Support the maintenance of an efficient vehicle fleet in coordination with the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor and ASD.Report issues or any adverse actions that could hinder successful operations.Maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion.Demonstrate knowledge of public safety and security operations, including rules, regulations, and precautions to protect people, data, and property.Assist the Logistics Transportation Supervisor, Team Lead, and Manager in transportation-related activities to support logistics mission requirements.Ensure all items are transported safely and securely, with traceable accountability and proper documentation as required.Ensure vehicles have a full tank of fuel at the end of each day; perform minor repairs such as fixing punctures or cleaning spark plugs when necessary.Be capable of loading/unloading docks, using ladders and forklifts, and standing for prolonged periods.Be willing to travel or relocate to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) for short or long rotations in support of the company’s mission requirements.Work independently and as part of a team.Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
