Run what runs the world.This Position Reports ToSenior Engineering ManagerExperienced in designing and implementing technical solutions for electric drive systems, with a focus on engineering coordination, cost efficiency, and project execution?Skilled in commissioning, maintenance, and documentation management to ensure quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction across global operations?Then you’re at the right place!The Work Model For The Role IsThis role is contributing to the Process Industries division in Switzerland.You Will Be Mainly Accountable ForDesign or co-design technical solutions for electric drive systems, including clarification and coordination of all relevant engineering aspects during project executionConduct cost streamlining and ensure project targets are met fully, in addition to carrying out inspections and performing factory acceptance testsOversee or assist with commissioning and maintenance of drive systems at customer sites worldwide, including troubleshootingIssue and review technical specifications and data sheets, project documents, and customer documentation work in close cooperation with Team Leader for the purpose of co-managing costs, schedules, and quality, thereby improving profitability and ensuring customer satisfactionQualifications For The RoleB.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering; emphasis on Power Electronics/Drive Technology essential for candidates with no prior work experience3-5 years' experience in drive technology (or graduate without work experience for junior role)Technical knowledge of ABB MV drives systems (ACS60x0), as well as experience relating to commissioning and service activitiesWell-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multicultural environmentProficient command of English at a technical/engineering level (both written and spoken)Willingness to travel on global commissioning and service assignments to remote sites (approx. 30% of working hours and up to several weeks per assignment)More About UsABB is able to offer you an interesting role within a highly motivated team, together with open communication structures.
