Job ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director of Dual Enrollment, the Dual Enrollment Coordinator plays a pivotal role in advancing Winthrop University’s mission to expand early access to higher education for qualified high school students. Incumbent serves as a key liaison between Winthrop, partner school districts, students, and families, ensuring a seamless, high-quality, and student-focused experience from enrollment through course completion and transition to college.Student Advising & SuccessServes as the primary point of contact and advisor for dual enrollment students, guiding them through the application, registration, and onboarding process.Conducts proactive check-ins, advising sessions, and outreach to promote student success and retention.Provides academic and career guidance to help students explore interests, identify strengths, and define college goals, including pathways to enrolling at Winthrop.Supports students in developing college-readiness skills and preparing for life after high school.Collaborates with faculty to monitor student progress, gather midterm and final grades, and coordinate interventions when necessary.Program Development & PartnershipsCollaborates with the supervisor to support the strategic vision, growth strategies, and innovative solutions for Winthrop’s early college initiatives.Facilitates partnerships with local high schools and district leaders to expand access to dual enrollment opportunities.Coordinates program logistics, including course scheduling, student registration, and high school site coordination.Develops and distributes resources for high school counselors and administrators, such as curriculum maps, program guides, and informational flyers.Ensures program compliance with established Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), academic policies, and university standards.Communication & EngagementDevelops and maintains timely, comprehensive communication with students, families, and school counselors regarding program opportunities, policies, and performance.Coordinates dual enrollment student orientation and transition activities, such as Online Orientation, Transition to College Week, and SOAR & Explore events.Supports marketing and outreach efforts in collaboration with Admissions and University Communications and Marketing.Maintains content on the Dual Enrollment website to ensure accessibility and usefulness.Data, Compliance & ReportingTracks student participation, academic performance, and program outcomes to assess effectiveness and ensure MOA compliance.Manages documentation related to course registration, grades, and academic standing.Prepares interim and final reports on program performance, highlighting success indicators and areas for improvement.Collaborates with institutional partners to ensure FERPA compliance, academic integrity, and quality standards.Minimum And Additional RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Higher Education, or related field.At least three years of experience in student advising, college access, or K–12/higher education partnerships.Knowledge of dual enrollment and/or academic advising practices.Solid understanding of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).Effective oral and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with students, families, and school partners and work collaboratively with other campus departments.Effective organizational and time-management skills.Ability to interpret academic policies and guide students through course and enrollment decisions.Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Sufficient technical ability to master software/programs required to perform job functions at a high level.Ability to work with diverse student populations and represent the university in a professional manner.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects/activities.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.Additional CommentsTravel/Overtime Requirements: Occasional travel and evening and weekend hours.License/Certification: Valid driver's license.To apply go to https://winthrop.peopleadmin.com/postings/20414 .
