Position SummaryThe Data Entry Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of school data systems. This individual is responsible for entering, managing, and maintaining a variety of data with precision and efficiency. The role supports multiple departments, helping to ensure reliable information is available for administrative, academic, and reporting needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately input, update, and maintain data in databases, spreadsheets, and internal school systems. Review data for discrepancies and resolve any errors in a timely manner. Assist with preparing data reports, summaries, and documents as requested by staff and leadership. Maintain confidentiality and security of all student, faculty, and institutional data. Support administrative staff with clerical tasks such as document scanning, filing, and record organization. Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with school policies. Collaborate with departments such as admissions, academics, and development for special data projects.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional training in data management or office administration preferred. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a data entry or related administrative role. Strong typing skills (recommended 50+ WPM) with a high level of accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs). Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.
