About the roleWe are searching for a strategic and technically proficient E-commerce Manager with deep expertise in PrestaShop and Shopify to lead the digital growth for one of our ecommerce clients. In this pivotal role, you will act as the main driver between their business goals, our marketing efforts, and our development.You will be the architect and coordinator who combines platform mastery with marketing acumen. Beyond managing our e-commerce platforms, you will define marketing strategy, optimize Google and Facebook Ads campaigns. If you are a strategist who speaks both "developer" and "marketer," understands the mechanics of modern e-commerce platforms, and can dive into Google and Facebook Ads optimization, we want to meet you.ResponsibilitiesE-commerce Platform Management:PrestaShop & Shopify Expertise: Manage day-to-day operations of our PrestaShop and/or Shopify stores. Configure modules, themes, payment gateways, and shipping integrations with minimal developer support.Platform Optimization: Continuously improve site performance, user experience, and conversion rates through A/B testing, checkout optimization, and technical enhancements.Technical Product Ownership: Own the development roadmap for both platforms. Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories for developers.Hands-on Implementation: Independently handle theme customizations, plugin configurations, product catalog management, and frontend adjustments using platform-native tools and custom CSS/HTML.Platform Health Monitoring: Track site speed, integration performance, and overall technical health. Proactively identify and resolve platform-specific issues.Marketing Strategy & Paid Media Management:Strategic Direction: Define the high-level digital marketing strategy and quarterly goals. You decide what we are selling, who we are targeting, and how we position the brand.Google & Facebook Ads: Have hands-on understanding of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, Performance Max) and Facebook/Instagram Ads. Review campaign structure, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and ad performance metrics.Performance Optimization: Analyze campaign data from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager. Challenge agency recommendations with data-driven insights and make informed decisions on budget allocation and strategy pivots.Holistic Marketing Oversight: Ensure synergy between SEO, Paid Media, Email Marketing, and Social Media. Coordinate cross-channel strategies that drive ROAS and customer lifetime value.RequirementsPlatform Mastery: 3+ years of hands-on experience managing PrestaShop and/or Shopify stores. Deep understanding of platform architecture, module/app ecosystems, and best practices for each.Paid Media Proficiency: Solid understanding of Google Ads and Facebook Ads campaign management, including audience segmentation, conversion tracking, attribution models, and performance optimization.E-commerce Strategy Experience: Proven track record in e-commerce management with focus on growth strategy, conversion optimization, and customer acquisition.Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML and CSS is required. Comfortable with Liquid (Shopify) or Smarty (PrestaShop) templating languages. Ability to inspect code, debug issues, and implement styling fixes independently.Analytics & Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and e-commerce tracking. Can interpret data to drive both marketing and technical decisions.Agency Management: Experience managing external marketing partners. Know how to write effective briefs, evaluate deliverables, and hold agencies accountable for KPIs.Project Management: Strong organizational skills with experience managing development backlogs and defining technical requirements.Nice to HaveDual Platform Experience: Hands-on experience with both PrestaShop and Shopify, including platform migration projects.Advanced Marketing Skills: Direct experience executing and optimizing Google Ads and Facebook Ads campaigns (not just oversight). Familiarity with Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog Manager, and conversion API implementations.SEO & Email Marketing: Practical experience with SEO optimization and email marketing automation tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.).Development Background: Basic JavaScript knowledge or experience with REST APIs.
