At SCOTT Sports, we're looking for a data-savvy Email Marketing Specialist to take our DTC communications to the next level. You’ll be part of the team defining our email marketing strategy: crafting, executing, and optimizing campaigns that engage our community, increase loyalty, and drive performance. As part of our global marketing team at headquarters, you’ll transform insights into action, shaping the customer journey with personalized, high-performing email experiences for the SCOTT brand.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Growth: Develop and implement a data-driven email marketing strategy that aligns with overall business goals, including customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure email marketing supports broader marketing initiatives. Campaign Execution: Produce and execute all DTC email campaigns, including collaborating on template building, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and scheduling across the DTC customer lifecycle (prospecting, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, retention, and transactional emails).Targeting & Personalization: Leverage customer data, including behavioral insights and purchase history, to build effective audience segments and drive personalized content recommendations for improved engagement and conversions.Deliverability & Compliance: Monitor email deliverability, maintain list hygiene, and ensure all campaigns comply with global email marketing regulations (e.g., GDPR, CANSPAM, CASL). Implement best practices to maximize inbox placement rates. A/B Testing: Develop a structured testing roadmap, including subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer segments, send times, and new email features. Track performance, document insights, and iterate for continuous improvement. Performance Analysis & Reporting: Provide in-depth campaign reports, analyzing key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, revenue impact, and churn. Leverage insights to refine strategies and enhance ROI.Tech & ESP Expertise: Manage and optimize email campaigns using Emarsys. Utilize automation, dynamic content for efficiency and effectiveness. Cross-Channel Integration: Coordinate with internal and external teams of paid media, social and web teams to ensure cohesive messaging and a seamless customer experience across all marketing channels. Creative & UX Optimization: Work closely with web designers and developers to enhance email templates for mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and dark mode compatibility. Ensure best practices for email UX and engagement. Retention & Lifecycle Optimization: Design and refine automated email workflows that enhance customer journeys, increase lifetime value (LTV), and reduce churn. Implement personalization strategies to maximize relevance. Innovation & Industry Trends: Stay updated on emerging email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices. Regularly audit competitors and industry leaders to identify new opportunities for growth and engagement. What You’ll BringEducational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field with 2+ years of professional e-mail marketing experience. Fluent English: Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus. DTC E-mail Strategy: Proven experience in crafting impactful, audience-centric and inspiring and sales-driven content. Know-How: In-depth understanding of current email marketing technologies and trends. Knowledge of Emarsys is a plus. Top-Tier Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration skills to connect and collaborate with different teams. Passion for the Outdoors: Knowledge of bike, winter, running sports, or prior experience in sports verticals is a plus.
