Job Title: Emergency Preparedness CoordinatorPosition Overview: This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting emergency preparedness initiatives. It involves collaboration across multiple entities, with no direct reports at present but potential supervision responsibilities in the future. Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and continuous improvement of the organization’s Emergency Preparedness framework. Prepare and maintain Emergency Preparedness Plans. Conduct training and awareness sessions for personnel involved in Emergency Response and Crisis Management across office and operational sites. Ensure the availability and readiness of Emergency Response resources, including Emergency Response Rooms. Organize and participate in periodic Emergency Response Exercises (e.
g. , table-top drills, medium-scale exercises, large-scale exercises). Maintain the On-Duty Officer process (procedures, rosters, inductions, duty planning). Support operational sites in establishing and maintaining their Emergency Preparedness systems. Context & EnvironmentOperations are conducted in complex and sensitive environments with significant considerations regarding security, project challenges, and stakeholder management. The role requires navigating high levels of community interaction, social and economic development challenges, biodiversity, and environmental concerns. AccountabilitiesDrive continuous improvement in HSSE performance. Support the implementation of HSSE standards and best practices across all relevant domains. Required Qualifications & ExperienceStrong background in implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
Excellent organizational and methodological skills. Ability to take initiative and work proactively. Sound knowledge of HSE standards, regulations, and operational risks. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. University degree in Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
