This role supports the delivery of ecological and biodiversity management requirements in line with both national and international standards (including EBRD PR 6, IFC PS 6, and other lender frameworks). You will work closely with the E&S Manager, senior specialists, and project teams to ensure compliance with environmental and biodiversity commitments throughout project implementation and operation. This role is based at Bash 500 MW Wind Farm.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the E&S Manager and senior staff in meeting lender and project ecological requirements.Liaise with project teams and external consultants to define and implement ecological scopes of work.Ensure compliance with lender and project environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.Organize and conduct desk studies and field-based surveys (protected species, habitat, botanical, nesting, etc.) across terrestrial, freshwater, estuarine, and coastal environments.Carry out site assessments to identify vegetation communities, plant species, and wildlife observations.Work independently to deliver robust, safe, and high-quality surveys and technical reports.Prepare and present technical reports, data summaries, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an ecologist or biodiversity specialist.Strong knowledge of ecosystem sciences, terrestrial ecology, ornithology, and environmental planning.Familiarity with environmental assessment methods and Uzbek environmental legislation.Experience implementing Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs) and Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMPs) in line with IFC, EBRD, or ADB standards.Proven ability to conduct and interpret biodiversity monitoring programs.Excellent communication skills in Uzbek and English (additional languages are an asset).Experience working with governmental, non-governmental, and community stakeholders.Ability to deliver biodiversity awareness and training programs for site-based staff.Why Join Us?Work on high-impact environmental projects that contribute to sustainable development in Uzbekistan.Collaborate with a team of experienced environmental and social professionals.Gain exposure to international best practices and lender-funded project standards.Opportunity for professional growth and development.
