General InformationThe Venture Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of the “Venture Scouters” project — a national initiative under IT Park Uzbekistan aimed at attracting foreign venture investors, facilitating cross-border investments, and developing the local venture capital ecosystem.A successful candidate will act as a connector between startups and global investors, ensuring Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem becomes visible and investable on the international stage. The Venture Manager will work within the Startups and Investments Development Department, reporting directly to the Director and collaborating with government institutions, accelerators, funds, and development partners.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies to attract foreign venture capital and investors to Uzbekistan.Build partnerships with international VC funds, angel investor networks, accelerators, and ecosystem organizations.Identify and manage a pipeline of high-potential local startups ready for investment.Organize investor events, such as roadshows, pitch sessions, and demo days, within the “Venture Scouters” framework.Support the creation and use of investment instruments (SAFE, convertible notes, co-investment vehicles, syndicates).Conduct market and investor research to identify global trends and potential partners.Prepare reports, presentations, and investment briefs for internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to improve the national venture capital framework.Represent IT Park Uzbekistan in international events, promoting Uzbekistan’s venture ecosystem globally.Ensure proper monitoring of investment projects and maintain a database of venture deals and investor interactions.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.Minimum 3 years of professional experience in venture capital, investment management, or startup financing.Strong understanding of startup funding cycles, valuation models, and venture deal structures.Proven experience in building investor relations and managing partnerships with international organizations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of Uzbek and/or Russian is an advantage.Analytical mindset with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem development.
