Y’all Eco also provides implementation support, compliance monitoring, and grievance handling, alongside health, safety, and sustainability guidance. Through local capacity building and hands-on consultation, it aims to enhance community involvement and ensure environmental stewardship in PNG-based projects.Role DescriptionThis is a short-term, on-site Ecologist role for two weeks in Morobe Province, PNG. The Ecologist will conduct fieldwork to study and assess local ecosystems, wildlife, and plant species while collaborating on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). Responsibilities include compiling detailed reports, managing data analysis, and contributing to environmental management strategies. The Ecologist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and local communities to support sustainable and environmentally compliant project initiatives.QualificationsProficiency in fieldwork, including plant and wildlife observation and analysis.Strong understanding of botany and ecological systems.Experience conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and developing effective management plans.Skilled in report writing with attention to detail and analytical clarity.Cross-disciplinary collaboration and community engagement experience.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field is required.Knowledge of PNG’s environmental regulations and standards is preferred.Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
