It doesn’t get much bigger than that.Join us as a Economic Development Project Officer in our Strategic Partnerships and Investment branch, and develop your skills and future career.Find purpose and impactThe Economic Development Projects Officer will play a key role in supporting and delivering economic development initiatives across the Dubbo Regional Council area, with a particular focus on the Renewable Energy Awareness and Career Training Centre (REACT). The role involves working closely with government, community, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement projects that enhance local economic resilience and growth. The officer will also contribute to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of business development within the region.You’ll Make An Impact ByDevelop and implement strategies aligned with the Economic Development Strategy.Work closely with the REACT project team to deliver the $11.25M facility in Wellington.Engage with local businesses, training organisations, government stakeholders and community groups, to foster partnerships and support economic initiatives.Conduct research and analysis to inform investment opportunities, marketing campaigns, and grant applications.Coordinate and support projects that enhance business skills, training access, and community resilience.Contribute to strategic planning documents, including the Economic Development Strategy and Action Plans.What You'll BringTo thrive in this role, you will need:Bachelor degree in Economic, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline.Experience in management and development of successful Funding Applications and submissions to government programsExperience in project management, with ability to design, implement and monitor projects within agreed timelines and budget and meet identified outcomesDemonstrated experience in providing high quality services through an economic development, business development or relevant marketing role.Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate broad range of information including analysing statistics and providing summary reports.Exceptional communication and engagement skills.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, cooperative and productive relationships with staff, the community and key stakeholders.We Would Also Love You To HaveDemonstrated experience in marketing and communications based role with demonstrated capability to link opportunity with a desired outcome.Ready to make a difference?Join us, and help strengthen our community and your career.This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $96,537 to $112,191.To find out more about this role, explore the Position Description and feel free to reach out to our Manager Strategic Partnerships and Investment on 0438 486 494 to make an enquiry.If this role sounds like you, we would love to hear from you, simply click Apply Now!Applications close 9:00am, Thursday 20th November 2025Please Note: Notifications are primarily systemgenerated.
