What we offerCompetitive payFull benefit package401k matchingTuition ReimbursementPosition OverviewThe Process Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of a chemical processing unit. The operator will monitor and control process equipment, ensure adherence to production schedules and safety standards, and respond to abnormal conditions. The position demands strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Operators must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, wear required PPE, and work a 12-hour rotating DuPont shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will be doingOperate and monitor plant systems, equipment, and process controlsPerform inspections, troubleshoot abnormalities, and respond to alarmsComplete logbooks, reports, and routine documentation accuratelyAssist with maintenance coordination and unit startups/shutdownsParticipate in monthly safety meetings and follow all site safety policiesWear and maintain required PPE including respirators and chemical suitsHandle hoses, open and close valves, and carry equipment as neededWork outdoors in hot, humid, or noisy conditionsClimb stairs and ladders, and walk extended distances across the facilitySupport a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvementQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic knowledge of PCS/PLC systems, math, and computer operationsMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsValid TWIC card or ability to obtain one is requiredPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb up to 30' laddersAbility to wear full PPE and work in physically demanding environmentsWilling and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekendsProcess Technology degree or industrial plant experience strongly preferred
