As the Lead Electronics Engineer at Edge Autonomy, you will be a pivotal player in our mission to develop UAV avionics and other electronic boards for support and production equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to design and develop best-in-class performance systems. ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electronic PCBs, ensuring they meet high standards of performance and reliability. Manage and mentor the UAV R&D electronics engineering team, overseeing task planning and execution. Oversee the development of complex wiring harnesses, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and electronic systems.
Ensure thorough documentation of all design processes, from initial concepts to final production, maintaining clear and precise records. Collaborate with other teams in order to design and produce integrated solutions. Ensure that the PCBs are properly designed and tested electrically, mechanically (vibration/shocks) and thermally. QualificationsProven experience in electronics engineering, with a focus on PCB design and electro-mechanical systems. Strong background in developing wiring harnesses and integrating them with complex systems. Good communication and collaboration skills. Experience in leading an engineering team would be an advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
Strong documentation skills, with an emphasis on clarity and detail. Ability to stay current with the latest advancements in electronic and optoelectronic technologies. Proficient in English.
