[ad_1]We are currently recruiting experienced Electrical & Electronic Technicians to join our client’s fleet of drillships. This is a permanent rotational position.These positions are responsible for the maintenance, repair and safe operation of all electronic and electrical systems and equipment onboard to support continuous drilling and marine operations.Due to the confidential nature of this position, further details will be provided to candidates who progress through the initial screening process.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment including power generation, distribution and control systems.Support the safe operation of power generation and propulsion systems to maintain uninterrupted operations.Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections in accordance with the company’s maintenance management system.Identify potential equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.Coordinate with the Electrical & Instrumentation supervisor and other maintenance personnel to ensure effective communication and safe work execution.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, test results and equipment histories.Participate actively in safety drills, permit-to-work processes and toolbox talks ensuring strict adherence to company and regulatory safety procedures.RequirementsIn order to be considered, candidates must be UK, EU or South African nationals. This is due to restrictions on work permits in the area of operation.Proven operational experience in this role on-board MODUs, preferably drillships.Strong knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution systems, control systems and high-voltage operations.Must hold CompEx Certificate of Core Competency.Please note that applicants who do not meet the above criteria will not be considered for this role.Attempts to circumvent the pre-screening process by providing incorrect answers will not increase your chances of success.
