Successful candidates will support our customers in creating capabilities and providing technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions and services for platforms such as the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting.As an IBD-SS Field Service Engineer/Technician the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of PM FPS. You will play a critical role in supporting the Warfighter.How The Field Service Engineer/Technician Will Make An Impact:Perform maintenance, training, mechanical, electronics, and IT Networking related sustainment Performing installs, de-installs, testing systems and components, and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems.Fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual componentsRoutine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boardsPerforms sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the towers and payloadsPerforms site surveys to determine type and placement of systemsIsolate and correct softwareRole Requirements: Bring your expertise as experience performing mechanical, electronics, and IT Networking tasks as well as skills performing installs, de-installs, testing systems and components, and performing preventive maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systemsAA/AS with 2-5 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location.
