Electrical Drafter

Electrical Draftsperson Location: Centurion, JohannesburgAltGen Recruitment is recruiting an Electrical Draftsperson on behalf of a client specializing in solar energy solutions. This company is dedicated to delivering complete solar and battery energy solutions, from tailored system design to seamless installation and ongoing support.What You’ll Do:Draft and update Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for solar and power systems.Review and verify Bills of Materials (BoMs) for accuracy.Prepare and maintain as-built SLDs after installations.Maintain and update Gleanview system templates.Ensure designs comply with SANS 10142-1 and other relevant standards.Support remote commissioning and configuration of power systems.Provide technical assistance to installation teams and clients, both during office hours and on a rotational after-hours schedule.Maintain proper version control and organized documentation.What We’re Looking For:National Diploma or N6 in Electrical Engineering or Draughting, or equivalent experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar drafting software.Solid knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and electrical standards.Basic understanding of solar power systems, energy storage, and electrical distribution.Your Attributes:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Clear and effective communication skills.Willingness to participate in scheduled after-hours support (with remuneration).Commitment to continuous learning and growth.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Accuracy and timeliness of SLDs and as-built drawings.Quality and consistency of Gleanview templates.Responsiveness and effectiveness in technical support.Compliance and traceable documentation.
