Electrical Engineer / IoT Expert (Full-Time) – Cologne

As an Electrical Engineer / IoT Expert, you’ll design, test, and deploy real-world IoT systems and edge devices that power intelligent energy management and automation solutions. Your Role As an Electrical Engineer / IoT Expert - Full time in Cologne, you will: • Support the design, testing, and integration of IoT solutions.• Work on hardware setup, connectivity, and integration with platforms.• Do research and collaborate with hardware providers.• Participate in in-person installations and deployments.• Do the technical documentation and reporting of project progress.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, data scientists, and developers) to ensure smooth integration.• Support the troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing of different IoT systems. What We’re Looking For: • Experience and Academic backround on Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related fields.• You are a recent graduate• Experience with IoT platforms (e.g., ThingsBoard, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or similar).• Familiarity with communication protocols (MQTT, Modbus, LoRaWAN, OPC-UA).• Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to handle and configure hardware devices.• Strong command of English (C2) and German (C2)• Knowledge of programming (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar) is required• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, international team. Nice to Have:• Experience with cloud integration or edge computing.• Knowledge of energy management systems or smart grid applications.• Understanding of cybersecurity for IoT environments. What We Offer: • Flexible working arrangements (onsite/ hybrid possible).• 2 year, Full-time contract.• Continuous learning opportunities in IoT, AI, and energy systems.• Access to professional certifications or training programs.• Opportunity to grow into a Lead Engineer or IoT Project Manager role.We foster an open, collaborative culture where creativity and problem-solving are valued.
