Murphy are committed to developing our Engineers and our CPD Programme is accredited by Engineers Ireland.Never HarmDevelop knowledge in planning, managing and delivering works in a safe, controlled and environmentally sustainable manner.Ensure a strong culture for Never Harm is present on the project; actively promote engagement with the CDP programme.Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed regularly.Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirementsKey Responsibilities And DutiesDesign HV/MV substations and control/protection systemsProduce drawings: SLDs, layouts, schematicsDetailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systemsPreparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentationEnsure compliance with design standards and client requirementsCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersComplying with specific project safety requirementsAssist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.Prepare method statements and risk assessments.Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.Resolving technical problems at all levels.Qualifications & SkillsDegree in Electrical Engineering1+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer (desirable)Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCADGood technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.Strong written, oral and numeracy skillsWhat Murphy Offer In ReturnCompetitive salary and benefitsDiscretionary annual bonus and annual salary reviewAbove market rate contributory pension scheme available from day one27 days annual leave per annum.
