We also specialize in tactical radios, developing meshed solutions that allow our customers to operate in hazardous and long range environments from out of harm's way.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Engineer located in Kanata, ON. The candidate will be responsible for designing embedded control and communications systems for unmanned vehicles and performing rigorous field testing to ensure quality and reliability. This position will be focused on developing autonomous navigation solutions for vehicles operating in tandem.Specific ResponsibilitiesOversee all electronic design initiatives including component selection, PCB design, sensor integration and power deliveryBecome a subject matter expert on RF radio technologyCollaborate with engineering team and strategic customers to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective and meet specificationsManage project scopes, design proposals, prototype development and report progress to managementImprove performance and manufacturability of existing productsInvestigate product failures, troubleshoot electrical issues and support process improvements to increase reliabilityMentor junior engineers and build highly functional electrical teamPrepare special reports, industry white-papers and patent disclosuresRequirementsBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Applied ScienceLicensed Professional Engineer (optional)5+ years engineering experience in high-speed electronics, RF or related industryProficiency with 3D CAD, Altium and AI-based productivity toolsAbility to manage concurrent designs under stringent timelinesAbility to effectively communicate with and influence technical and non-technical personnelMust qualify for Level II (Secret) Security ClearanceBenefitsOpportunities to work with bleeding edge robotics and radio technologyExposure to the most prominent robotics programs for both military and industrial applicationsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefitsGlobal travelOpportunities for advanced learning and leadership development
